Every third Tuesday at 3:00pm
The City of Cle Elum adopted a local Historic Preservation Ordinance and received its Certified Local Government Status in 2006. The Historic Preservation Commission is a body of private citizens charged with the preservation and protection of Cle Elum’s historic, architectural, and archaeological resources. This is accomplished through the designation of historic properties to the Cle Elum Register of Historic Places, and subsequent design review of exterior changes.
Each commission member represents a specific geographic area or has a specific area of expertise (i.e. City at Large, Anthropology, etc.). Commissioners serve on the Historic Preservation Commission for three years.
The Commission meetings are generally held every third Tuesday at 3:00 PM, in City Hall, or as needed, and are open to the public.
