City Heights Planned Mixed-Use Development
Background Information
In 2008 the Cle Elum City Council accepted a petition to annex 330 acres along the northern ridgeline of the city. The City and the property owner subsequently executed a Pre-annexation Agreement that provided that the land would be zoned Planned Mixed-Use Development upon annexation. An environmental impact statement was then prepared that assessed alternative development scenarios for the property to be annexed along with 28 acres under common ownership that was located within the City limits. The Final EIS was issued by the City on November 12, 2010, and on November 11, 2011, the parties executed an Annexation and Development Agreement to guide the development of the properties over a twenty-five-year period.
